One of the founding members of Irrawaddy, Los Angeles based Swedish filmmaker, Gus Asplund, is a much sought-after cinematographer in LA independent scene. Together with good friends Jonathan Engborg and Olov Samuelsson, under the name of Fladdermuse, he had worked on short films, viral commercials and music videos. Gus has recently directed an official music video for the song "Breathe" by VISE and served as DP and editor on a video for Alex Oskin's "Magical".

Gus has also directed short films of his own, and his recent "In Search For I" premiered at San Jose's Cinequest Film Festival in 2009. Besides being a gifted cinematographer and editor, he has also done visual effects, animation, and motion-graphics. Gus has a keen interest in dark dramas and horror, with a touch of sci-fi. His friendly personality and patience at work attracts many collaborators.
